What will you do if you expect a salary increase on this day yet there's none?

Gosh... Had a bad day today. I've been expecting our annual salary increase for one week. Today is the payslip day yet nothing has changed. That was so disappointing. I want to tear off the admin's faces in our office.

As long as you are an emplyee, you don't really control the salary. The only thing you can do is get another, better job. Or continue, but refrain from doing overtime an make sure they know you are unhappy. If they really need you, they really need to keep you happy. So try to get into a position where they could get in major trouble if you leave.

but it's an SOP... They just delayed it and I'm wondering why they should delay it? They haven't released any explanation regarding the delay that's why it's very disappointing. Now I have to wait for the next payday..

I can relate to you. Last December 2010, I was expecting for a salary increase. Until now I didn't get what should be given to me. I am really disappointed and pissed. Until now I am waiting. It's really sad.

Awwh, that is disappointing and I would be upset too. Have they given an explanation as to why no increase yet? Maybe it will be reflected on the following paycheck. I would ask to find out if there is a error, as I do not see any harm in asking. Take a deep breath as you do not want to loose control and get into a fight and risk loosing your job. I do hope it gets resolved and you get your salary increase. Best of luck to you.

I've been taking a very deep breath since I received my payslip because I don't want to lose my job. LOL... They didn't give any explanation for that. And the worst thing here, they will just inform you when they hear complaints. What a bad management... =(
