Initially when I have started driving I was in early twenties and then it used to be fun and frolic! I was rather enjoying the driving! For that matter I had Morris 8, a classic Car of 1948 made. With this car when ever I used to go out I used to get a lot of attention from the people! I used to keep my car well maintained also! But now having driven for so long time, and practically I have travelled thousands of Kilometres for commuting from one city to another, I don't enjoy driving any more at this age of 50! Today when I recall how I use to drive the car right from morning till the late night, while gong from one city to another, I feel so strange and amazed about the stamina what I had! Now to drive to Mall coming back once in a fort night, which is some 50 Kilometers away from our place, becomes a big head ache! May be together with the age factor, vision factor, it is the traffic on the road which makes me sick of driving! Thanks dear Sunshineyunlong for the discussion started! You made me nostalgic!

For a person like me who still hasn't gotten used to driving yet, driving can still feel like a task to me, but surprisingly I find driving quite fun and interesting. I remember as a kid I always loved to play racing games on the computer (F1, Need For Speed etc.). I haven't been driving for a long time already, so I think I've lost touch of driving it a bit. I guess for people like my dad who drives everyday, driving is more like a routine and an interest.......

Hi sunshineyunlong, I really enjoy driving. I ride for my great interest. When I was a little girl I always visited my playmate who owned a kid car After getting my first job I sat for my driving exam. I afforded to a second hand car after amassing for quite some time. Since driving is my interest therefore I'm always the driver when going for long journey travelling. My husband treats driving as a task and prefers to be the passenger. He will insists to drive for an hour or so and let me to have a proper rest in case we still have quite a long distance to reach our destination. He is a considerate person I never feel bored to be my family driver to visit nearby towns as well as beautiful scenic sites during our leisure time. Nowadays the price of gasoline goes up tremendously compared to that many years back. So we have cut down the time to enjoy country drive and we prefer to travel on express bus most of the time to live a more frugal living. Happy posting

Driving for me is still an interest if by interest you mean liking and enjoying the act of driving. Never has driving been a task for me since I always have an option whether to drive my car or not. I can always take public transportation or hitch a ride with a friend, but I rarely do those because I really love driving.

I am learning driving because of a need. At first its my interest but at the same it turns out to be my task to do it. Because of a need in the family and I am the only one who is capable of doing it. So I enrolled in driving lesson but its not enough I still hired my uncle to teach me everyday.

I definitely think that it is an interest because for some, even knowing that they need to drive never learns driving since they do not have interest for it. As for me. I drive for pleasure. It is just something. Driving a car of a motorcycle, given some differences is just so much fun. It only becomes a task for me when I drive my sister to work. But most of the time, it is just pure freedom. Its just a shame that people forget their responsibilities when on the road that is why tragedies happen. It can be avoided but for those who just drives for the sake of driving, at times they do not care about what may happen to those also in the road savoring each moment while on the wheel.

This is an interest as long as you do it for fun rides or necessary jobs once you have to do it in your job related programs especially for longer times for distant places stopping in between for time and again as a marketing professional it takes its own toll. Cheers.

Yes, indeed, driving is a necessity for me. Task or interest ? Well, for me, it is a task, or let's say it is part of a task, because that is part of my daily work. I have to drive every morning to get to work, and every evening to get back home. So, that's really part of my daily activity. I do enjoy driving though. I even often like to drive long distances along the highways !

I do think that it can both an interest and a task, depending on the individual. Some simply do not have much of a choice to learn. However, others do it more because they enjoy doing. For me, it really is more of an interest than anything else.

Up to an extent this is a pleasure and once this crosses limit, this becomes a big problem. I had bee driving a lot during my professional related tours, now I am doing it a little lesser than ever before. I am loving it this way now. Cheers.
