Discussion views

I have never really thought about that before, but you have brought up a great idea for mylot to think about. I know i have viewed myself many discussions that i have not responded to. i didnt respond because i didnt like the discussion the person was trying to start but i opened it because the discussion had a great topic to it. After reading the discussion that was started i didnt like it so i didnt respond to it and im sure i am not the only one who has done this. It would be a great idea to see how many times my discussions i started had been viewed compared to how many times someone responded to it.

Could be a good idea, I know I always look at the page views on my webpage, it is good to know how many people actually take interest in what you have to say.

It would be nice to see how popular a particular thread is. I don't know if that is how they come up with the mylot digest, but if it is, there should be a way of making a list of the most popular. Is that what "today's top" is? I don't know. But I think you are right. I don't think it would take that much programming to add the number of times viewed. Thanks for bringing up the topic!

I do like the idea of this the only thing is what point would it serve? Seeing the views is all well and good but it mylot discussions really have very little need in my opinion.

That's a great idea. But, we should suggest it to the admin of this site. But the problem is how can we contact the admin? There should be a suggestion area in this site. Right guys?

That would be a great idea. They do that on Gather, and I love it. I always like to know how popular my writing is.

Yep, I think it'd be a great idea. Seeing the number of views to your discussion vs the number of responses can give you an idea what kind of topics work and what doesn't.
