Xbox 360 - Xbox LIVE Subscription - Is it Worth It?

I know that it costs about $60 a year for Xbox LIVE... what have your experiences been with it? I realize that you practically need it if you buy an Xbox 360... but I just wanted to know your opinion.

I think it depends on how many times you are going to play on it in a year. If you are going to play say two hours a day every day, then it's worth it. If you're going to play on it like once a month, then forget the live subscription.

Thanks for your response. I play a LOT on the computer (since I do not have an Xbox 360 {yet}), so I would assume I would play a LOT on the Xbox 360 too. :P

My oldest son has got xbox live subscription and he loves it.Yes i do think that it is worth the money, as he is always on his xbox and so are his friends.He has never complained about it being rubbish and he is usually one of the first to say if something is worth it or not.Now i am getting the same this year for my other sons.

60 dollars a year isnt much 5 bucks a month so if you can afford it then why not? Im glad Playstatiomn network is free.

Wow i have not bought my xbox 360 yet. Actually I have been contemplating whether to buy a xbox 360 or a ps3. I love xbox 360 with a passion but the fact still remains that ps3 has more features. Damn it is so hard to make the decision.
I also thought xbox 360 internet and I would have to say that the money to pay for xbox live is relatively cheap if you look at it. $60 in a year, $5 in a month, about $1 in a week. And I am sure you can afford $1 in a week. So really It doesn't really seem as that much. Even if you are not going to play it so often, it still seem ok to pay for it. But that is just my opinion though and it still all depend on you if you want it or not.

To tell you the truth, I really don't think it's worth it. There are so many instances where Microsoft tries to rip you off on parts of the xbox 360, and this deffinitly has to be on top of the annoying list. Ofcourse, like everone else though, I ended up buying it, because half the fun of the 360 is playing online with friends and being able to talk to them. I would recommend goin on ebay or something, because a year of xbox live is about $10 cheaper on there.
