hi friends. seems silly considering all camera angles, slow mo,ultra slow mo and all other new stuffs. but i do miss certain stuffs from the old way of telecast. like showing DEV To RICHARDS or McGRATH TO TENDULKAR. ofcourse most of the time we know who is bowling and who is batting but this thing makes one think of great rivalries between batsmen and bowlers. the other one i sorely miss is the RUN BOX. you know after the batsmen hit the run,the camera follows the ball but a small screen is opened at the top corner to show the batsmen running between wickets. i wonder why they forgot it.

I am probably the only one who does not understand cricket and don't watch it either. Tried a few times with family and friends but didn't get a thing so can't really tell what all you're missing but sure do feel bad for you that you're no happy with what you're getting since I know for some cricket is religion. Good luck, I hope you somehow find your way into getting what you like.

Technology bring so many good thing regarding watching cricket but some good stuff like you mention about 2 windows concept one for running ball and 2nd for running batsman was very good way to show the whole picture in one window. Maybe we are lacking some cricket craze too because of too much cricket matches through out the year.

I am loving the latest changes like UDRS , the more interesting stats are presented very quickly. The animations were good and are even better now. I am also missing the box for the runs but they are showing the batsman taking run at the lower side of the screen .

Yeah... They cover every detail clear, but I'm also missing the small window showing the wicket. I used to watch Cricket on black & white TV those days, now it's good to see on a colour television. Yet, something is missing. (May be we are missing our friends who watched cricket with us. Those days are gone.)

Hi stardust, The most lamenting thing that today's cricket is doing is to curtailed the power of umpires. What they do there? Just count how many balls have been bowled and how many left. Even they have pounding heart while giving an LBW appeal and most of the time the technology shows that they were wrong to give some one out. Now if the ICC refers even the LBW decision to the third umpire than and top d1ck and harry would be able to umpire a game. About telecast style it actually depends on the people sitting behind the computer. The small box that showed the batsman running was nice to look but now they have some other techniques.
