I have been practising "mindfulness meditation" for over 10 years now, as regularly as I can. This is very good for mental as well as physical health. It relieves the mind and the body of the stresses, and that is very good for the heart, reducing the blood pressure and mental stresses.

Hi viru1981 Yes Yoga is very good for heart. Yoga also helps those who are suffering from heart diseases like coronary artery disease.Yoga helps in treating heart disease by improving blood circulation to the heart, besides reducing stress; and promoting general health and well being. Yogasana which are beneficial to heart include: -Shashankasana, Paschimottanasana, Baddha Konasana, which help to reduce blood pressure, and heart rate. -Bhujangasana, Shalabhasana, Dhanurasana, Chakrasana, Matsyasana, Setubandha, sarvangasana, Vipareeta Dandasana and Ustrasana. These asana help in improving blood supply to the heart. -Padmasana, Vajrasana, Siddhasana, Konasana,Shavasana, which help in combating stress. -Pranayama such as Anulom-vilom, Nadi shuddhi, Ujjayi, Sheetkari, Sheetali, and Bhramari are especially helpful for those suffering from CAD. Thus if we practice Yoga daily along with pranayama nad light aerobic exercises, we can surely keep our heart in top shape
