This morning when I woke up my brother asked me, "Hey why were you talking to yourself at night?". I shocked me talking to myself at night while sleeping?? I don't know but my all family members told me that you often talk to yourself or just talk anything at night while sleeping. I was wondering why it happens or do you have any experience like this?

I don't know about myself but I have seen my brother talks while sleeping. He just talks something meaningless and not sound so clear to understand. You may have the same. I think it's not to worry about because when we dream something weird or too interesting our mind tends to get exited and can order mouth to talk sentences even in the sleep. But because it is not alert state, the words do not sound all clear. But will be surprised if someone talks abusive language while sleeping...... lol be aware...

That is not a disease. That's dreaming loudly. LOL I also do it at night sometimes. My wife catches me talking to nobody while sleeping.

Hi. cervine888. I was told a couple of times that I have talked in my sleep too. I was dreaming though. I am not sure of any other reason for you talking in your sleep. I don't think that it is nothing serious, but if it gets out of control, it is best that you seek a medical doctor's attention.

Talking in your sleep is known as somniloquy, but relax cervine888, it is a fairly common occurrence and is not a strange disease nor generally considered a medical problem. - "Blah...blah...blah"

Myy brother talks in his sleep I remember one night when we had full blown conversation and I was like ok this is just a bit strange . I brother remembers none of it. As for why it happens I guess it's probably just to do with our mind still working at night and talking in your sleep can be triggered by your dreams well at least in my brothers case it is so. It's no disease though

one of my cousin have this problem too. It's really strange. I don't know why it happen. But i don't think it's a mental problem. May be it's happen for over dreaming or anything else. But we should seek a doctor if it go out of control.
