I am thinking about getting an Ereader. Does anyone out there have an Ereader? How does it compare to reading actual novels? I have been comparing Kindle to Nook? Any advice on which is better? If you have one or the other, how do you like it?

I used to use my Palm Pilot as an E-reader. I downloaded free books and loved it. I want to get an I phone to use as an E-reader. I wouldn't get a Kindle. You can only buy Kindle books for it.They only read Kindle books. I got a lot of my books from free sites for my palm. It took almost all formats out there except kindle.

I have read a lot about how people like their kindle but there are several things that make me lean towards a Nook instead. One is that the battery is removable and you don't have to send it in to get a new one. The Kindle you have to send in to get a new battery and they might not send your Kindle back to you, you might get a different refurbished one. The whole Epub compatibility is a strike against the Kindle as well and plus you only rent the book you buy and if they pull it off the market you lose it. I actually went into a Barnes and Noble yesterday and asked about the differences between their product and kindle. I also like the fact that if I have problems with the Nook I can go into one of their stores and get help.

That's why I want an I-phone for reading. Anything but a Kindle.

In my opinion nothing beats the feel of a real book. A new electronic toy is great, but it cannot compare to holding a real book by the fireplace, or laying on a beach reading that awesome book. I know that I may sound nostalgic here but I say SAY NO TO EREADERS!

That is exactly how I feel about EReaders. I am afariad I'm going to get one as a gift, though. Not confirmed, but my husband's friend told me that my mother-in-law bought it for me. If I do get it, I will let you know if it compares to holding a book in your hand.

I have been that way in the past. I like physical books, but there are several reasons for me to go electronic. Right now I have 1,000 books in my apartment. They are hard to store and hard to move and I won't get rid of any of them. Have my library more compact would be nice. And the ereaders are designed to be the weight of a paperback book so it feels like a book? Let me know how you like your new ereader Zralte if you get one. I think I will be getting one soon.
