I've always wanted to sing. But when I do it would be a catastrophe! I'm a teacher who handles all the subject areas and one of them is Music. Sometimes I have no choice but to teach them the song acapella especially in the absence of audio visual facilities in our school. Now I'm wondering if there are tips that you yourself have proven to be effective in improving your voice. Kindly share. Thank you!

Singing like most talents, is developed througout one's early years and the results, whether good or bad are reflected later on. Fortunately for you as a teacher, it is the children that should sing and not you. lol Improving your voice is about learning your tones and being able to hold the notes. It is also about singing using the diaphram and not the throat. There are many websites that can get you started.

yes I wish I could sing as well, nut no...a friend of mine who was a singer himself once said to me anyone can sing, its just picking the right song...so maybe we all have a song within.

When reading your post I can remember very well myself when I was wanting to sing and then my brother told me how is catastrophic it was. I was searching the net for some more informations and I came upon one which says that daily rehearsals in the morning at about four is very useful it helps make the voice thinner and clearer.
