I came across this article and thought I would pass it on. I have actually been eating the quick oats at home with strawberries and cream etc. They are quick and easy on the go. Sigh I will go back to the old fashion kind. Also I have not logged in for a while the adds that I have to go through first stink. Home all are doing well. Remember this is the year of HEALTH! I forgot that I am not able to copy and paste a link yet. It is called How to Make Oatmeal...Wrong, 2/22/2011 is the date of the article in the New York Times, opinion pages.

Everybody pretty much has their choice of eating fast food or eating health foods that is a decision that every individual can make and nobody has the right to take the decision away from them because that is their right.

Yes the freedom to choose and to speak is a great liberty that I hope we never lose.

Hi Sleepyredd, I am quite surprised to see that a major newspaper teaching people to make oatmeal! It is quite tedious to find the article. Why dont you summarize it, and share the information with us? Anyway I am too lazy to do any cooking in the morning. I just buy those instant oat, and then add hot water, then add a bit of milk. That is about it. Oatmeal with a cup of coffee, and then rush to work.

Hello, YOYO was kind enough to post the link. I have used the instant oats myself for a long time. Oatmeal is great and filling for breakfast. I am sure there is a more natural and nutrious brand out there instead of the one I have been using. My next trip to the store I will check out the other brands.
