Have you been a victim of identity theft?

How did you manage it? I was a victim of identity theft last Friday, and it really upsets me, somebody from Florida made some transactions using my account while I'm here in California. I reported it immediately to the bank, and they gave me a new ATM card, and had blocked my old one. However, I still have to make a dispute. I'm waiting for my account to be cleared.

Yes, unfortunately I have had this happen to me. It happened with my bank account. The worst thing in my opinion because that $ is real $! Luckily I caught it right away and was able to get it all taken care of. It only took about a week to get things straightened out. The bank credited the $ back to my account and I just had to sign a few papers.

I have not been the victim of identity theft. I can understand how easy it would be for someone to obtain your information these days.

About a year ago, I had $800 in fraudulent charges charged to one of my credit cards. After disputing, all was refunded. Hopefully yours turns out the same. Good luck.
