Do you remember League of Nations? There had been only 63 Countries as its memebrs. It failed miserably to bring peace in the World as Countries simply preferred to ignore its dictum. This Organization came in force on 10 January 1920 and was dissolved on 10 April 1946 after all its assets were transferred to UNO. Presently, there are 195 Countries in the World and barring Kosovo, Taiwan and Vatican City, all 192 Countries are the members of UNO. I find even this UNO is miserably failing in enforcing Democracy amongst all its member Countries. There are Countries which are being ruled by Military Dictators or ruthless Monarchs. Latest revolts in various Countries like Baharain, Egypt, Libiya, Saudi Arabia and others are the examples. USA, UK, France etc are enforcing sanctions against Libiya and are freezing assets of Gaddafi. MY QUESTION IS WHY THEY DID NOT DO EARLIER? Why UNO does not force its member Countries to revert to democracy? Let honest people take governance of their Countries in their own hands. Similarly, why UNO does not force its member Countries to disclose cash stacked in their Banks, belonging to citizens of other Countries? Such Countries must realize that all these monies are earned by people in illegal manner out of bribery or commissions. Consequently, tax is not paid to the mother-Country and forcing such Countries and its people to suffer. Can we do something by raising our voice?
