Samsung Galaxy Tablet, Ipod Touch or Blackberry Playbook?

I am in dilemma here. I am using a blackberry phone which conveniently connects me to my friends from all over the world including my precious online best friend. I love my phone so much as for some here who have been keeping up with my posts, you know how precious my phone is.
Maintaining a blackberry service is not cheap at all but since my best friend is on it i have to use it and enjoy it with him. But then he changed his blackberry to samsung galaxy s and we can't communicate through BBM anymore. Now the blackberry service is useless for me and i don't have a need for it anymore. To keep in touch with my friend 24 hours though i just need a good mobile phone or any wi fi enable device that can help me keep in touch with him.
I am considering Samsung galaxy tab and been reading reviews of this product but it doesn't seem to be exceptional so that i would be drooling over it. Then there's ipod touch where i can use video chat for ym and the facetime too but only for the same device and then the blackberry playbook which hasn't come out yet.
What i need here is a good advice from someone who knows these products well. So please help me decide.

if it is urgent for you to buy a device, i recommend the galaxy tab among the three. Because you've known the merits and the defects of the three, and also your friend possess a galaxy tab.Your communication would be more convenient and efficient,and you don't need to worry about the OS or the software being incompatible.
however,if you could wait for some time, i recommend you to wait for the coming android tabs, surely including galaxy tab II,with android 3.0, which is the first real tab OS.Its UI and some amazing function and improvement will satisfy you.

My friend is not using a galaxy tab but a galaxy s android phone. The samsung galaxy s phone has been phased out here coz they are pushing the galaxy tab. I will try to wait for the new Galaxy tab 10.1 and the blackberry playbook.

From the products you have listed i will suggest you to get blackberry playbook, it will be a great device when it launches, i have seen some very good reviews of it. i will say keep samsung galaxy tab out of the list, its hardware is good but software isn't and i have always got bad reviews about, and samsung cannot be compared to apple or blackberry. And why arent you considering apple ipad

Apple ipad just came out with the latest version and it's a bit pricey, and still doesn't have what blackberry playbook has. I'm waiting for blackberry playbook's release which i hope would be soon.
