I want to know the different views of people using/owning a dslr? do they really go for photography? what also your view about photography as a student taking course like this or as a person who have been involved with it?

I want to do a course, I have a DSLR camera but I could use it better, I am a bit confused about the lighting and such...courses are very expensive here in Australia...I love taking photos, when I have a friend of mine driving my car I always take my camera and take photos of different things as we pass and I spend a lot of time at the zoo taking the photos of the animals...

Enthusiasm is the first requirement in photography and you have it. No one can really handle lighting that well unless you spend 3 days in a photo studio without rest, same as your model. I know someone who teaches basic and advance photography in sydney should you want to inquire here is his email add. emailjimp@gmail.com. I think he charges 150 aud or lower.. what you can learn in basic and advance can satisfy your cravings about good photography. more power and good luck.. thnx for posting.. =)
