The Supreme Court Ruling Supporting the Westboro Baptist Church

I'm not sure how many of you may have seen this, but in a recent case, the United States Supreme court ruled in favor of the Westboro Baptist Church being able to basically protest in front of and during funerals of fallen veterans. They are saying that it's protected by freedom of speech for them to be able to do this. To me, that's just insane. I mean these young men and women literally sacrifice their lives for our country and our freedom, and they can't be buried with some sense of dignity and peace for the families because of some over the top hate group (disguised as a church). I mean when a "church" is carrying protest signs saying things like "God hates you" and other very negative and disrespectful phrases, there is something very wrong. I personally think that the man who brought up the case to the court, after his own son's military funeral was disrupted by these protestors said it best when he said, "8 justices on the supreme court don't have the sense that God gave a goat".

I have seen the protests and I am very disturbed by them. It's too bad we cannot legislate common sense. I hope that all their kids sign up for the military and they all become gay!
