I'd highly recommend anything coming from logitech. Depending how much you want to spend, on the high end, I'd recommend the Logitech C910 which is $99 and has complete full HD 1920 x 1080 pixel recording and two onboard stereo mics for good sound quality, and, it even takes 10 megapixel still photos. Or if you're looking to save a little bit more money and go for more the medium quality webcam, I'd recommend the Logitech HD webcam c310, which is $49 but does not have full 1920 x 1080 resolution nor stereo onboard microphones. Still, decent video quality for video chatting, however.

Well this will depend on your budget but Logitech is a good company for Webcams as they build solid products in everything computer. Also Webcams pretty much will range from about $20 to about $100+ the higher up you go the more it can do and generally the better the picture quality now also when getting a webcam you are going to have to think of how fast is your internet connection as for upstreaming as well if you have a low upstream or a not very fast or stable internet connection than you may be limited in how many mp (megapixels) you can get. Your basic USB should start off with about 1.5MP but the nicer ones can go up to 5 or 6 MP and even Higher as some will stream video in HD for this you will need a really fast connection as well as a stable one. Streaming video is a massive load to have running on the internet because of the connection that is required between the two computers and the amount of bandwidth that is used.

The higher the pixels of the web camera the better it is. It will cost you but if you look always find for the highest pixels they are selling.
