I do believe that most of us do have the other side of ourselves. Could be a personality, habit or attitude that people do not mostly see from us. Like for example in my case that people usually see me as a very serious person, someone who thinks a lot, and has a very deep personality but on the other side I do laugh lot, has simple joys in life, and very open to other people. I also see others who looks very conservative but goes wild when on the dance floor. I don't exactly why we have this other side but I guess this is a part of ourselves that are not very much exposed. So do you have your other side too?

Ironic how you used the example of the dance floor...Though normally I don't go around dancing just anytime or anywhere, I do at home, enough that my 8-year old thinks I'm crazy.... I have danced with other people who also like to dance, but if it is just me and the music starts, I hold back if I am public, I think because too many people are judgmental where my dancing is concerned...

I can't think of any better example so I chose that dance floor example as it is the closest to be given. I just couldn't imagine how much you danced a lot based on your description that you're 8-year old can think your crazy. I just don't understand why would people become judgmental with your dancing. Well I don't actually dance but I sing a lot when no one is around or just inside the house. My sister would just laugh at me but I guess they are already used to my bad singing.:P

I can get pretty wild, he started saying I am a crazy dancer when he innocently walked behind me as I was doing a back step. He was carrying some grape juice, so when I knocked into him..Fortunately I caught myself and I didn't hit him too hard, but hard enough to know him over and spill his juice. At this church we use to go to, I remember even the pastor knew to get out of my way when the music started..lol But that was before another church came in and influenced this pastor.... Oh,as for singing, I am a terrible singer too, that is why I prefer to dance..:D

I guess I don't have much choice as I'm terrible to both. I prefer singing because I often felt lazy moving around much.

Well people do say their first impression of me was very different. They say i look scary and cold and they don't want to talk to me lol. Anyway most of the time I am the one who has to go and introduce myself to people (which can be annoying at times). but when they get to know me better I'm not scary at all. I love making jokes and laughing a lot. Actually laughing is a dear hobby of mine lol. So yeah maybe that is my other side..

Did you ask them why they have that impression to you? Maybe they're scared at your laugh or they're afraid to die laughing a lot. I think so too that it's annoying at times but sometimes it's a good attitude as well, just depends on the situation I think. Maybe you've got killer smile that's why they're scared.

Poker face scares me a lot no doubt they have that impression on you. They think that so that you're really studious? I guess they have really the wrong impression on you.

I wish I had a killer smile lol and no actually I've never asked them why they have that impression. Maybe it's because during the first days of our new classes (when i don't know anyone) I don't talk a lot and just concentrate on my notes with a poker face lol. Oh yeah the other thing is they think I'm really studious. Which i am (i wish!! )

Hi. sais06. Yes, I do have another side of me that I don't reveal very much. People see me as smart, intelligent, funny and reliable. And sexy at times, for those that do see me this way. But what I really am, I don't be in front of others. I want you to watch this video, and in this video is the image that I really am. I am very sexy and seductive. When I am around my hubbie that is. I want him to see me in this way. I am not some silly girl, I am truly a woman that is very keen to a man's yearning. When you see the woman in the orange bikini, you see me too. I am very classy but respectable too. The link is below, please watch it and this will show you my other side of how I really am. Others may never see it, but I have this strong desire to be this way. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K1hfHZv72AE

Hello cream97. I say that it is gorgeous indeed. Just follow your heart where you feel comfortable and happy. If that other side of yours will make you happy then you should reveal it. Do not hide from what is real inside. Follow your hearts desire. I guess you should try asking your hubbie as well about what he thinks or his idea about it.

Hi sais06, Everyone has lots of thoughts which might be good or evil but they keep inside them and not take any actions on them, which is with me too. I have my own fantasies in which i can still be anything in my fantacies. I like lots of things but i do keep them to myself like i like to eat lots of fatty food but i can not indulge in it as i am not interested in getting fat.

I also have lots of fantasies agrim. I guess it'll be better not to take action when you're uncertain about things because we might not like what the result would be. I'm not as well interested in getting fat but problem is I'm getting fat which is the opposite for me.

I'm a lot like your opposite. People see me as a happy-go-lucky person who laughs at the shallowest things but what they don't see is the serious person in me who thinks a lot and rationalizes every single thing she lays eyes on. I do believe that people have many different personalities because flexibility is included in our nature as humans. It helps us deal with life in general. While life is the most dynamic thing in this world, the people who live in it shall be dynamic as well in order to maintain balance. That's what I think. :)

We are flexible and adaptable to whatever situation we are into. Maybe we just tend to use what personality is suitable for a particular event. I also have thought of this just right now after reading your response. Have a nice day.

Hello there buddy ;) Well, I agree that we have different versions of our own selves. Just like me. ;) I had this chance to ask my friends of what their first impression was for me and in my list, I found out that most of them said the same in number one. It was --- snobbish. Hahahaha.. :D Some of them said that I was like a very strict, conservative, serious and a not-so-fun person to be with. They also said that I might be smiling once in a lifetime, or I would have a sarcastic laugh. All these, after our conversations, made us all ended up laughing like crazy. Because later, when we became friends, they said that they will never believe again in "First impression lasts." :P That they found out that I am not JUST snobbish, strict, serious, but also a friendly, sarcastic, humorous person all mixed together as ME. ;) So now, I guess I can say is that i don't have other side, but rather other SIDES of me. ;P

I guess I'll be a retard too if I would stay too close to you much often. I understand what your friends may be feeling and I think they would love to be with you all the time because that what I would feel if I were them.

YES, yes I am. ;) Kind of surprising I guess? :P But I am snobbish in a nice way. hahaha.. really, my friends even think that sometimes I am nuts, because first thing I smile then when I turn around I would raise an eye brow on them, then after that I'll be looking back at them again, with a laughing face. :D And we would probably end up laughing like retards. And it makes me somehow wonder if they are still not used to my upside down behaviors. :P that's why sometimes I ask them if they are mad at me or something, then I would whimper like a kid who wants lollipop and when they answer back, which is always the same, "of course not, why should I be mad at you?", I would hug them, if they are girls, but if they are boys I just give them a friendly shove., then I'll raise an eye brow again, hahahaha.. :D I'm totally a mixed up person I guess. ;) and yes, I am a serious person too, whenever it is appropriate and needed. ;) as well as I am conservative, mainly because of the way my parents trained mem and also because of my religion. And I'm proud of it. :P

Yes, that's very true. I guess all people in this world has his or her own, other sides. Me personally, like many people believe,is someone who is snobbish and serious is not the real me. Although im a bit of those two traits, I could say that im kind, gentle and happy soul. Maybe they all said that because of my facial feature but I have other sides as well like ive mentioned. Have a nice day ahead!

Most of us actually base our impression to what we see physically especially the facial expressions. I have seen also a lot of people who looks very serious but then suddenly laugh hilariously. Just smile often and that impression to you will change in time. Have a nice day as well.

Yes, i do believed that most people have other side, that only those who are close to us can see and understand that other side of us. Like me people see me as a very serious, private, and not friendly person, someone that they can not ask for help, very strict person, that is what my brothers and sisters in my church community told me, that was their impression on me before, but as years passed some saw my hidden personality, those who became closed to me and my family and they didn't expected that i have these go-lucky attitude in me. My other side is only exposed to those who are closed to me for some reasons.

Hi stilldirect. I have just realized that we often just show the other side of ourselves to people whom we are comfortable with because we can be who we are thinking that they won't criticize us that much for having that personality. Thanks for your response.

Yes, I do have the other side. Actually we may have different aspects in front of different people in different situations. Before the close friends, we can act more like ourselves, laughing and making jokes wildly. But while in front of the people we are not so familiar with, we might be a little serious. I am so like you as you describes above. lol but i want more people to know me more, not only the serious sides but also the lovely sides.

I have noticed that we only show our true self to people whom we are used to and we trust with, believing that they would understand us and wouldn't criticize that much unlike to people whom we are not used to because they might get annoyed or irritated by us. So we just act consciously to people we are newly acquainted with in order to be careful. Guess we have to be more open to our positive sides.

I do! Well, but I believe most people have "the other side" of them that no one knows. I'm a cheerful, friendly, kind person, the sociable type. But deep down inside me I'm a very competitive and envious person. I can only be a nice person (and all those things I've just mentioned earlier) to people who are below me. Below me in terms of beauty, money, career etc. Then I'll be super nice to them, because I know they'll never surpass me. But once they have shown the sign of catching up to me (be it beauty, money, career), then I'll start feeling envious and strange and competitive inside my heart. But I'll never show it to people. It's just how I feel. You know those kind of friends who are genuinely happy when their friends got a promotion, or got a good job. I salute those people because I know I won't be one of them.

Being competitive is good. I guess it's the insecurity factor that makes you envious when you feel that they're already catching up. Well what I can say is continue being competitive but don't get envious. Competition is good so that you will have to do your best and won't get left behind, while envy makes us feel strange and insecure. Let's just be happy with everything. Thanks for responding. Have a nice day.
