Can watching Television really develop in to an addiction?

I heard on the radio that people can enter rehab under the category of media. Can watching television become an addiction? what do you think

Yes, absolutely. I would definitely say that watching television can become an addiction. However, if watched in moderation, or at least within reason, I think that it is fine, but there are times, when I find that people watch it far too much.

Absolutely anything done out of too much content can be considered an addiction. If a person neglects life's priorities and only wants to watch TV that in my opinion would be considered an addiction. I do see you are new, welcome to myLot. My question to you is how do you feel about people who watch too much TV??

I believe that watching television can become an addiction. I realise it from myself because there are some mega soaps which we all the family members use to watch regularly. If by chance due to some reasons I have to stay outside, I feel that I am missing something.

Yes ofcourse people can get addicted to television. It is much easier to accept an alternative reality created by the massmedia instead of actually wake up and live your own life. Have a nice day.
