"Look before you LEAP!" That's right! Especially, when you are considering to download and install an app online as it has been found that MORE than 50 Android apps from the official Android Market are infected with malicious virus. It is alarming when studies have revealed that these dodgy applications have been downloaded from 50,000 to 200,000 times, after they had been repackaged with a code that corrupted them. What happens when your phone is being infected? In simple non geeky English, these codes are responsible for sending sensitive data, such as a phone's unique ID number, including passwords for other personal things to their creator(s). It is so advance that it could bypass all the current security controls and protocols in our smartphones. Fortunately, Google has withdrawn these virus-infected apps from the official Android Market and suspended three accounts being used by the developer of the apps. So better to be late than regret later. Play safe! Read more: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencetech/article-1362676/Android-hit-rogue-app-viruses.html

Yeah that why i installed "LookOut" it's a free android app that scan file on your android phone and surprisingly it only took less than a percent of my battery in one day. when you install new program on your device, this app automatically scan for virus. there is also some function like find lost phone, basically you log on in their website and use "locate missing device" function to retrieve your phone's gps location

Antivirus detect only virus already in their databases, and no antivirus is totally secure. If the trojan described in this discussion is not known by your "LookOut" software, you will be contaminated.
