Which do you prefer, the job you enjoy or the job that earns you more money?

Yesterday I was discussing with my students about this question, if there are two jobs that you have to choose, one is what you enjoying doing but doesn't earn you a lot of money, the other is what you don't really enjoy doing but it earns you more money. Some studnets say it's better to have a job which they both enjoy and can get a lot of money, but if this is impossible, for practical reasons, they will choose the one with a higher income. If you have to choose, which would you prefer?

A job I enjoy definitely. Because I would hate my life if I had a lot of money but had to do an awfull job to get it.

I would rather do what I love whether I get paid for it or not. The problem is you need money to eat, to have shelter, clothes, etc. You need it to live, and that means you need a job that pays enough to sustain you and/or your family, pets, children, etc. I guess I would take the job that covers those expenses, because if I can get paid enough to be comfortable, I can do what I love anyway.

I will still choose the job I enjoy.I believe when you love your job,it will love you back.it will bless you more with more earnings.what's the use of a high-earning job when you dread waking up every morning or feel lazy getting up early?the successful people I read about usually have the job and the earnings they enjoy.

I always go for jobs which excited me more........It is also true , I count the earning also but wenever I prefer earning over liking , I end up quiting the job...so for me satsfaction is a must
