I grew up hearing and seeing a lot of commercial ads, pictures, short tv clips and some other stuff about the movie "the lion king" and the sad part is that I haven't watched the movie until I was 22 years old. The movie was released internationally when I was still 6 years old. I see so much of it on TV but not the whole movie. I only see a lot of short video clips, pictures and ads about it and I love it so much. But the best part of this movie for me is the song. "Can you feel the love tonight" by Elton John is the best music that I've heard and it even led me to believe that the song is as old as the beatles and when i found out that it was an original song composed by elton john for the movie in 1994, i was even more impressed. Hope they make songs as good as this today. Modern music is good and entertaining but I just hope that they would be as unforgettable as this song.

Lion King has definitely one of the best songs among all movies, not just Disney Movies. I think I saw the movie when I was 5 but I saw it many times after that. The Lion King and Toy Story are the only movie that i remember from my childhood aside form Snow White and Cinderella of course.
Lion King definitely has that nostalgic thing about it. Every time I see a Disney or Pixar movie with lions, the first thing that comes to mind is the Lion King. When I saw Madagascar i actually said 'that is one ugly Simba' lol. The music and the story is very universal.
The movies today are can't even compare to the songs in the 90's. I glad I was born in that time because I believe that that decade has one of the best music if not the best music to date.
