It already happened twice. The first message i received was in my personal cellphone, the second message was in our company mobilephone and each message consists of three separate SMS. The message contains Binay's achievements with our OFWs abroad. At first I thought cool, at least Binay is doing something but on second thought why only his achievements? and why cellphones? are the SMS messages meant as a signal for the next presidential elections? Do you think it's too early for that? BTW whose funds are being used to send all those text blasts to all networks? your thoughts...

And please don't insist. I won't answer on the grounds that it might incriminate me.

if ever it's meant for the next elections, i guess it's very early to do it. i mean, if they will do it until the next campaign period and everyday from this day, they will lose all their money to send text messages to every filipino. fortunately, so far i have not received anything in my mobile phone.

Yeah it's too early for the next elections but i can't really think of anything else except that the people who are sending these kinds of messages have the next elections in mind. I think they are not going to spend that much since telecom companies have promos where you could easily send text blasts to a certain number of people for a fraction of the cost. What's really annoying about it is that people are getting unwanted messages or SPAM messages. The main reason you're not receiving these messages could be your telecom provider since most of those who received it are globe subscribers.

i now realize that we can't do anything about it. For all we know, those SPAM texts are meant to annoy and not help binay after all. Better to just ignore it.

Am I glad that i never received those messages. if I did, I think that I would have the same feelings as you do. I didn't vote for Binay but at least he's doing something other than making himself...handsome. But receiving another text with the same basic content is probably going to make my day turn into grim. The guy can take the credit for his efforts but doesn't mean that his scammer or his supporters (however the people behind these are) have every right to bother my and my activities just to appease his ego. If i did the same to him, you he be happy? probably not. I just he just needs the time and effort to brag about his achievements. If that is true, he is hardly the man I saw during his campaign. he seems to have the need for recognition - something that a person form a humble beginning should not be doing - if he considers himself humble, that is.

That's the thing, we will never know for sure. I'm sure I'm not the only one who received it but if this issue is blown out of proportion, Binay could just easily deny that he has anything to do with it. But at least people gets to talk about but then again it's too early since this kind of issue can be easily forgotten.

Maybe it's not him directly doing it, he's to wise to do something so naive, maybe someone close or a stupid eager beaver supporter who thinks he's doing the man a favorand he's thinking that he might get an appointed position when the time comes and he can get back more than what he spent for the SMS

You're guess is as good as mine. There's a big possibility that those SMS were meant to annoy people and raise eyebrows from everyone. Binay has been around and knew politics all too well but then we will never know for sure. He could easily deny it if there's negative reactions.

I haven't received such messages yet. I'm glad about that, though. I hate getting spam texts. Usually I get those offering loans from banks. I wonder what is the purpose of those texts. I don't think it's about the next presidential elections. Too early. It could be to market the VP so that people will not think he's not doing anything. Making him more visible to the people. I hope he's not planning a coup. He's not president material (but then again, so is our president ). Surely public funds are being used for these. Since when did government officials use their own money?

I'm a globe subscriber and if we have different service providers then that explains why you are not receiving any. I also have my share of receiving loan offers from banks but at least you could use these offers if you're in need of cash. I can't really think of anything else except that those SMS are meant for the next elections not unless it's a demolition job from other parties.

EH? That's ridiculous.. I also receive some text messages about that! I guess its too early for the next election, I also hope that the next election will not base via text messages or cellphones. Its not cool, its a bit annoying how some politics do this.
