I was just a teenager, when Madonna and Michael Jackson, had just started their careers, but I didn´t like them. Actually, I thought of the music of that time as something simple and without any interest proposal, due to some friends, some of them older than me, I discover bands like Pink Floyd, Jethro Tull, Led Zeppelin,...etc, all this great bands of the 70´s, that cought me up. After that, looked with some disdain the music of the 80's, but recently, I, along with some friends, some of them younger, I re-discover certain bands and sounds of that decade, and it mades me think in the importance of looking at the whole picture before you make an opinion.

I did not able to experience such music era since I was born near the 90's, means growing up with 90's music, but I highly appreciate the bands you mention. Once in a while I look for them in my playlist and listen when I get tired of my own music genres.

The alternative/post-punk music of that decade was brilliant in my opinion, better than anything that followed. I didn't know of it back then as I was much too young, but I love it right know.
