What's up?!?! Ok all you computer geeks out there. Give me some input. I've been trying (unsuccessfully) to access a particular website to no avail. It is a site that I've used many times before. I've been to "is it just me?" and, it IS. This is the site: www.englishtips.org Based in Russia. I've never had problems visiting the site before. THERE ARE NO BROWSER OR FIREWALL ISSUES INVOLVED. I'm positive about that. At first I thought that it was simply my ISP blocking the country in general, however, I'm able to access other sites in Russia and my fellow countrymen can access the englishtips site with no problems. I've checked and double checked everything. Anybody got any ideas? Any way I can get around it? Are YOU able to access the site? I'm open to any and all suggestions. Thanks for your input!

veromar, There's no problem on my site. Tell us a little bit more of your problem so the kind folks here can shortlist some tips. What's the exact response from the browser when you tried to access the website? Will check back here soon.

Thanks Uu4ria (cool name by the way!). I really don't know what else I can add. I called my internet provider this morning to see if maybe they blocked the site for some reason. Nope. They said that maybe the site itself blocked my IP. I don't know why though. No reason to. I get this when I try to access the site: Server not found Firefox can't find the server at www.englishtips.org. * Check the address for typing errors such as ww.example.com instead of www.example.com * If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network connection. * If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure that Firefox is permitted to access the Web. Like I said, everybody else I know is able to access it. I've scanned and cleaned for viruses and nothing changed. I disabled my firewall and that didn't make any difference. I tried using Internet Explorer instead of Firefox and had the same problem. I've got 3 computers in my house all sharing the same connection and I can't access the site from any of them. Like I said.....I'm really perplexed! lol. I'm open to any suggestions! Thanks again for the help!

veromar, I did a little read up on the problem base on your scenario and I believe it has something to do with internet connection settings conflict across your 3 computers. Now this might not be the solution as I'm as much a noob as the mosquito that's biting me now. lol. Try this http://www.computing.net/answers/networking/browsers-cant-access-one-website/32293.html or the mozilla support page under the troubleshooting network connection section. http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/server not found Just remember that I had to type out the website url as I'm still along wy off from using copy and paste feature. lol Hope this can help you out.

I've done that but thanks for the suggestion. My browser of choice is Firefox. I also tried with Internet Explorer. Thanks for the input though.
