What are the roots to our worlds problems?

I think its safe to say that we cannot abolish all the worlds problems. There will always be problems. I believe that life as we know it comes down to balance, which includes the good and the bad. Unfortuantly millions of people (and Im guilty) cant acceot that there is going to be good with the bad. And at the moment the world is totally out of balance. I reckon over population is one of the main culprits. The world is way over populated and unfortunately we cant really do much about that. The other main culprit is greed. We as humans love ourselves to be centre of attention. Its our opinion, not yours that matters. And I believe it mentalities like that which affect our world. The over population mixed with selfish motives is destroying us as a society. I think the answer is balance...easier said than done tho. What do you think?

I think our quest for change is one of the roots of the problem. We over did our quest for this change and we have destroy a lot of world's natural existence . If we could only return to the basic, then there will be a chance for the world to heal itself without violence and harm to the humanity!

I agree with you Edna! Its no news that humans are ambitious and again everything in moderation. That ambition can so easily turn to greed and then we just get used to a certain lifestyle and now change is harder than ever. Technology now has given rise to a whole new set of problems. I also think social networks, although amazing and makes keeping in touch around the world a breeze, I feel it has also given rise to a certain degree of narcissism, especially amoungst younger people. People feel like their opinions are more important and dont leave their minds open to the possibilities of other opoinions. I hope mankinds attitude and global conciousness shifts.

I definitely agree with you. The main problems on earth are poverty and hunger, which have been caused by th greed and selfishness of a few people who have misappropriated the money and funds. Unfortunately politics and governing bodies are not helping out in several countries.

Indeed! Unfortuantely it just seems politics fails us. Even democracy! I wonder if capitalism is actually adding more to our global drama. Have we as a human race made too many mistakes to correct? Have we ventured too far down our road of evolution? I think our only hope is that we individually improve ourselves, only then I reckon our communities and societies will better.

That is so true. we constantly do things the way we want and not care about others. We are the roots of our own problems. we cause the problems ourselves and we just leave it to forget. We are not looking for ways to solve the problem. Instead, we focus on ourselves not the whole picture. we as people of the world can do a lot of change if we just care enough to do so. we can make a difference. But I think we just don't have time for other things other than ourselves.
