My Thanksgiving Wish

This year I am humbling myself and spending it with yea ol' in-laws. Now, my in-laws are not the traditional people where mom cooks and dad sits and watches the game with his son. No, both of them are disabled and hillbilly like. I'd like to think I got the pick of the litter. He likes to think I saved him. My father in law cooks. My mother in law suffers from cerebal palsy since birth. The doctors told her not to have children. She took that as a challege, and went ahead a tried. The result was three still born births and my husband. Don't get me wrong, I am very thankful that she went ahead and had my husband reguardless of what doctors said. It's their unthankfulness that I really dread to be around. Here his mom was never normal to begin with and his dad complains about her getting old and useless. I hate to hear it. I wish that he could just be thankful for her and enjoy the time that they have left together. I wish that he could at least do it for the holidays. Some people just never really realize what they have until it's too damn late. By that time it's too late to do anything about it. Please, this Thanksgiving, don't take anyone for granted. Take the time to show that they mean something to you. Have a Happy Thanksgiving!
