What to do to gain some weight ?

dear friends i just want to know how can i gain some weight as i am 6 feet long and fair but weight is just 65 kg so looking very slim. My friends tease me sometimes and say to get some weight. It is irritating for me sometimes. i also don't go out with those friends because they are are fat or average. i look below average. is there any way to gain weight soon?

Yes ..years ago I was so skinny but I went to a health Food shop they have things for weight gain, they gave me a powder you mix with milk supposedly twice a day but I only had it once a day and within three months I put on quite a lot of weight maybe too much...

I never had that problem though! I have the opposite problem, losing weight! Once you have gained some it is very difficult to lose it.

Eat a lot! Thats the easiest thing to do. Going to the gym is also a good way to gain weight. Eat the right food and do proper exercise for weight and muscle gain. You would not only gain weight, you would also gain it properly. It is a misconception that the gym is only for people who want to lose weight. It actually is easier to gain weight rather that lose it in the gym.

I was actually gonna say don't mind the fact that you are skinny and tall as long as you are healthy. Super models are tall and skinny right? If you don't have health problems while being skinny why do you need to gain weight? but since the question was about gaining weight, that why I gave the first answer. Don't lose self esteem because of this. You are young. Just be healthy and live a good life.

i also think i am fit and fine but sometime when anyone comment like this i got confuse what to do? actually i am healthy and not suffered any illness from last 5 years but only the problem that i am slim.

Hi Manojkrs! Welcome to Mylot! Like you, I am also in the process of trying to gain weight. I started this for over a month now and I'm happy to say I have improvements. 2 office mates who were previously thin recommended a weight gain milk powder. I saw the results with them, so I tried. The milk is quite pricey though. I am continuously eating. I think it is almost close to gluttony I must say. My stomach has already expanded, but my mouth seems not to stop. Anyway, you should also try to eat protein-rich foods like fish. Helps you gain weight they say. I hope we can reach our desired weight soon!

Wow, its not often that people want to gain weight! I guess the thing to do will be to eat the things that fat people are told not to eat. So plenty of takeaways and jumk food. You also want to eat high carb content and lots of protein to help you build muscle. You can also get those protein shakes that bodybuilders drink. They should help you too.

Well this is a switch, lol.. most people want to loose weight. So the best approach would be to do it the healthy way. Build muscle and not fat. Which means proper high trans fatty foods as well as protein and exercise. There are some health shakes you can also add that are high in nutrients like ensure. Best of luck and cheers to good health!
