How do you make extra money?

I've very new to earning online, but so far I've tried mylot, Triond and slicethepie. Yet to recieve a pay out from any of them, but I know full well that these things take time, so I'll give it a couple of months and see how I can do. I enjoy writing to earn, as I already write a lot in my spare time, so I may as well put it to good use. I've also tried a couple of survey sights but the surveys I'm given are few and far between.
