Will Matt continue the streak on Redemption Island?

Or will Kristina break it and reign supreme at Redemption Island... Personally, I find it more interesting than the game itself? Haha. I don't know, some of the players in Ometepe are pretty dumb, just riding along with Rob. Or, it could be a strategy? Who knows, but I really find the RI duels to be more exciting than anything. Definitely adds a new layer to the game than fans had never seen before!

Now the question, is can he comeback at the merge state. anyway according to speculation, the redemption island duels for the merge will be for trios, 3rd place will be jury, then the final redemption showdown will be double elimination. I guess they want Matt to comeback since he kinda developed a fanbase. I think his chances for winning is already ruined, he is kinda absent the whole game , no chance to develop a social game and his strategic game is not kinda questionable. Worse case scenario is if he will be the first person to be voted of thrice.

I agree. It will be difficult for him to win, especially he keeps on staying at redemption island. Maybe that is also the reason why he failed at the merge. he got so used to being by himself that the social aspect of his game was not nurtured in the process. This is a very complex way of dealing with the redemption island twist that I am kinda thinking twice about the possibility of it returning for next season.. not sure if I am still excited about it.

The strategy he can do now is to stay nice, so he will have the chance to win Sprint people's player. I'm sure he can win fan fave with no effort, all he needs to do is try to stay as long as he can and dont try to play dirty. I mean the people's choice gets to win 100,000 and a car, that much more price than the runner up. There are actually contestants who were playing the game not to win the million dollar prize but but to win the sprint player.

Really? I didn't know there was a car given away for the player of the season, just thought it was all the cash prize. However, if matt can win that then that would be awesome. But I do have second thoughts if he can actually do that, since I am sure there were several of his fans that were upset with his decision after the merge. I was personally disappointed by his gameplay choice but I was still rooting for him. I am happy that Matt and Mike survived the duel because they are both my favorites. If Matt couldn't make it back to the game, then I would certainly root for Mike instead.

I almost enjoy the mental challenges more than the physical. Anyone can do the mental but the physical has to be adjusted for all types. Keeping your cool and concentrating is the keys to mental challenges...shown by both of the ones Matt did...tieing sticks together to make a pole and stacking dominos....Russ don't have the patience and Fran got to confident!

Yeah! That is what I am impressed more about Matt. In the challenge against Fran, he shown that he has the patience and all the effort he put into building a strong stick to pick the keys really paid off because Fran lost time in the end trying to fix it while Matt grab all 3 keys in one go! As for the challenge with Russ, it was purely mental. He also got a bit lucky there because had Russell pulled it off on his first try with the dominoes, then there is nothing he can do about it! I guess the same thing can be said of Matt during the third duel although Jeff pointed out that Kristina nearly passed out during that challenge. It really shows his persistence to win the challenges more than anything else.

I really enjoy the Redemption Island challenges. The tribal challenges were getting rather monotonous for some time now. But this one on one...and it being mental more than physical...just makes for more suspense and I have even been cheering for Matt...and I never do that for anyone! I hope he holds out right there until the final chance to be had. I thought it pretty cool he was talking to Grant and Rob and asking them why they voted him off!

True! I guess it is a rare opportunity to be able to have the chance to return to the game so it is only fitting that they get to fight hard to stay alive. I hope that Matt keeps it up for next week. Krista hasn't been that good in challenges with her tribe, but I have yet to see her perform on her own. So, it would not be smart to count her out from this! But Matt has been quite impressive so far. As for that part wherein Matt talked to Rob, I think that was pretty bold of him! I hope that he can get back into this game to realize that redemption! I think Jeff was pretty glad to have Matt into the RI, he was singing praises that there was no better person to be in that position, really.

I think Matt will continue winning. As much as I like Kristina, I don't think she has the strength to battle Matt in duel challenges. I hope Matt comes back into the game and somehow gets his revenge against Boston Rob.

I agree. But it is not just about strength or athleticism, beyond that I think Matt has proven that he has the ability to stay calm under pressure. In fact, he did not flail in the despite having to go up against Russell. I hope he goes all the way! Me too, I want Matt to hunt down Rob when he returns to the game.
