Have you ever wondered... which hurts the most "Saying something & .... wishing you hadn't" or "Saying nothing & wishing you had...?"

Sure it was a tough question but based on experience and observation I found the first one to be more hurting. Both are forms of regret but the first one is like having a weapon that hurts more when it strikes. So for me words hurt deeper when it strikes and most probably affect a person's life. Well I will always have the chance to say it if ever I had said nothing unlike the first one because we cannot usually take back easily what we had already said. Have a nice day.

Good practical answer....but what if you must have said something very important, you didn't said it and it effected the other person's life...

Yes both hurts a lot but your question is which of the two hurts most, right? So for me the first one hurts most because I guess it is never too late to tell that something I have said important unlike the first one which cannot be taken back when we already have spoken it out. I just look at the situation where it is already too late. Well this is just my personal view on this situation based on experience and observation as I have said.

Interesting discussion that really got me thinking. I think it is both, to some extent they would both generate a feeling of hurt. The first one. Often times we say words that are just hurtful to other people. Unfortunately we can't take them back. So we end up hurting them and we're sorry. The second one. The greatest regret in life is the one that you didn't take the risk. You would have the burden of having "what-ifs" in your life, when all you had to do was act and face the consequences of your action.

Hi, Haricharan. I cannot decide it but I'll try to think about it. We the peaople always think... Some of our thoughts are right but some are not. We cannot always figure out which type of thoughts we have. When we say things which are not right then we feel regret later. But if we are right we defenetly must say it althou it may hirts someone! The truth hurts you know!

So now the question would be, "whether we should tell lie and make loved ones happy" or "tell the truth and hurt them"
