Captcha Entry Work: Legal or illegal???

Hi everyone
I could see option of unlimited earning by typing captcha. Sites are paying upto
$0.001/captcha.
Is it legal to type those captcha? Some of the sources says, it is used to create fake email ids. Is that true??
I know that there is alot of people on the Internet offer projects and pay almost
$1 to solve 1000 captchas for them and they use the solved captchas for spamming,
but I also heard that there is alot of sites that offer legal captcha entry jobs to
help digitize books and papers and to assist to visually and hearing impaired persons wishing to use computers and internet.
I want my money to be clean so if you know any legal captcha entry site please share it with me.

Thanks for raising this question. I was doing until I found this discussion. I stopped it. REally appreciate the comments here. I should focus here in mylot and Triond, no harm at all. Except I was having fun and practice my English. Thank you all..God bless...

I was thinking of doing this until I read here that it is illegal. I never would have known that. This is good site for information. Take care.
