Flojo Stuck Her Tongue Out And It Stayed Out!

I find it so funny when this happens. A cat will wash itself then look over with its tongue stuck out without it realising..well, for about 10 seconds in Flojo's case. So cute! My Thebes used to do this all the time and the older she got the longer she stuck her tongue out for! Do your cats do this? Have you any photos because I'd love to take one of Flojo..I'm just not quick enough!

Suky did that all the time, tho less so as she got older. It was like her mouth wasn't big enough for her tongue! Solo, while he was sick, would lay about with his tongue just sticking way out! I mean WAY out! And then there is Pong... When his mouth was hurting, he didn't do the tongue bit, but since his surgery...

where did my picture go? Yeah, he'll do it for quite a while, and it is because he doesn't have any teeth!

Yes, I left a comment on your photo of Pong. I've never seen a cat's tongue stick out at the side like that. How long does he do it for cos you managed to take a photo of him, so it must've been a while.

Harmony is still quite the little lady and never leaves her tongue out.

I had one that would do that. Trying to grab the tip of her tongue *really* annoyed her. Boy, would I get a dirty look!

Words are the voice of the mind.I guess how happy you were while you saw your moggie's lovely manner.I like to see moggie washing. It washes itself careful with its claw that is wetted with its saliva, once in a while raises its head and looks around vigilantly. It is reminiscent of the tiger.

Yes, they do look round don't they? Very observant of you my friend. They pretend to be asleep as well. When Flojo is asleep..er, she'a asleep and I can place the side of my face on her belly and listen to her breathe. She doesn't move when I do this. So cute!

I haven't got an account with YouTube. I used to but not anymore. Good idea though, I shall bear it in mind! The video itself would be on my profile though, wouldn't want to risk posting it in a discussion, just in case it gets deleted.

Tiger does it constantly and drools as well. He did have a sore on his tongue and some dental issues, but even with it cleared up, if he is sitting and just chilling his tongue is out. Now, if he is chasing a toy or hanging around outside, or at least part of the time when I am combing him, he can keep it in. It reminds me of a person who sits slack jawed in front of the TV and breathes through their mouth.

Who's that, your husband (only kidding)! Tiger sounds incredibly cute. Give him a hug from me.

Mine rarely do that. I've seen it occasionally though. Almost never when I had the camera handy.

When Flojo stuck her tongue out it was REALLY out and her expression was priceless, as though she was saying, "What are yer laughing at?" I actually felt guilty about laughing after that..but it was funny.

Hiya janey, None of the Cats we had in the House did this at all don´t know why. Perhaps they would clean themselves outside instead and that´s why we never saw it. Last Cat of my Nans had it´s tongue out but trying to catch a Bird. I tried to scare it off but it was not going to take no for an answer. Only Cat I have seen with it´s Tongue stuck out like that.xxx Love to Flojo though.
