Garlic is very healthy. Garlic kills germs and increases the number of antibodies in the body, is very good in treating many diseases, especially colds and flu, and in general all forms of infection. Reduces risk of certain cancers, especially the stomach. It has an important role in treating lung diseases. Cleanse the blood. Has anti-oxidant properties. Reduces cholesterol. Reduces risk of heart disease. Prevents weight gain. It's good for circulation. Even if the smell would cause the opposite, is a good aphrodisiac. Since I was little my mother taught me to eat garlic at least twice a week, did a great job and now I thank them very rarely happen to catch one cold. So it is very good advise if you have besides garlic can eat honey, but that natural, not store, direct from the yard beekeeper. These two ingredients kept me away from hospitals and medicines.

I love garlic too. We eat freshly chopped garlic with most of our dishes here. I love to eat it but not during lunch. It has a really strong smell that tends to linger in the breathe. I usually eat garlic during dinner.

Garlic has long been known to be very good in lowering hypertension, aside from its antibacterial properties. Like broccoli, recent studies indicate that garlic may be able to reduce the risk of heart disease and cancer. Dieters should also rejoice because unlike other foodstuffs, garlic only has 9 calories per clove. With regards to nutients, garlic is good source of manganese, vitamin B6, Vitamin C and calcium.
