Environmental toxins is rampant now a days especially the situation right now that there could be low level radiation exposure of foods that came from Japan, it's important for us to eat lots of food with antioxidant nutrients. Antioxidants may protect our cells against the effects of free radicals like radiation and tobacco smoke. Free radicals can damage our cells and may cause heart disease, cancer and other diseases. Antioxidants are consisted of vitamins A, C and E and we can also see it in mineral such as selenium. We can also use the help of phytochemicals. The point is that Antioxidants are found in many foods that we eat and is already avaialable around us. These include poultry and fish, nuts, grains, some meats, fruits and vegetables. What about you guys? Do you eat a lot of food with anti-oxidant? Right now I drink lots of vitamins as this will really help to boost my immune system. We don't have the radiation here but we do have the pollution and smoke.

This is what i call, causing unnecessarily panic over nothing. If one hasn't been eating right or healthly for the past decades, what's the point in loading antioxidants to our body now? It's still too low to boost our immume system. Everything takes effect over time, and too much of a good thing will backfire too. On top of that, if one really wants to survive in this environment now, all the more we should have common sense, and not act blindly, following the majority.

I love antioxidants from fruits, veggies to peanuts. Antioxidants also slow down aging. :)

You are right, in this present time whrein we arenot sure how clear and clear the air we breathe, we must be cautious and take lots of vitamins and supplements to make our immune system strong.
