I wonder, How important is money in your life?, recently, I have gone through a serious problem of scarcity, where I could only think of where to get money, and in fact, seeing this as the solution of my problem, and the root of happiness. But now, even though my financial situation is still not the best, I have come to realize the value of other things, long forgotten, that were around me, and I did not value enough, as family, friends, even those small details of every day´s life, are seen diferent now.

Money is not everything, but everytghing requires a little money, to go out with friends, to present your couple, or family, to eat, dress, the point, I guess is not to give to much importance to money, just giving it its right place, it is important, but do not have to become the most important thing in life. Thank you for your comment

Yes money is important in everyone's life because I have seen in most of the cases if the person has no money then even a relatives also not care them and they also so far them the relatives not helped if we required the money in some situation. But not in each and every condition money is must some time you will stay happy wit less money if your requirements is less. I will suggest to every if have more money then dont waste because to earn the money is more difficult but to spend the money in one day so save the money for future because no one can know how will your future some disease may be come, loss may be happened in the business, some requirements may be increased.

Yes, it takes so hard work to earn it, and it goes so easily, sometimes you wonder where,:), now, I think that it is something important in life, but, we should have our priorities in order so, money do not overcome oer other things in life that brings happiness. thank you for your comment.

money is not everything in life. we should let money be one thing essential in order to eat, have a home and live but it is not something that we should let our lives be controlled. it is true that there are a lot more important things in life such as family, friends and relationship with God. money cannot care and love you but family does. they can bring you happiness more than money can bring.

Money is important, that´s undeniable, but, is not the most important thing, at least, I don´t see it that way, I think that money should have the right place in our lifes, a necessity for living and living well, but, not over family and friends.

Unfortunately, I think money is more important to me than it really should be. Growing up, my family never had enough money. I was the girl who never got to take ballet or tap dancing, or even have friends over because my mom was alway embarrassed of the way our house looked. When my stepdad came into the picture, the money situation only got worse. This has turned me into a money hoarder, simply because I am determined not to be stuck in this rut for the rest of my life. I am barely a legal adult and I already am a workaholic, with 2 jobs and always taking on odd jobs. I also hoard my money like crazy if I can. I am just terrified that I am never going to be able to live my dreams, and life my life like my mom did; wasting away, despairing over past mistakes. I understand that there is more to life than money, but it isn't enough to sway the way I am. Lack of money has always brought me misery and I will do everything in my power to not be miserable for the rest of my life. Maybe further down the road, my opinion will change; but this is my stance for now.

I hope you can live your dreams, but, I also hope that you enjoy today as well, chasing some extra money is not bad in itself, but, maybe, you are leting that your past experiences rule over the life you live today. You don´t need a lot of money to be happy, it is unrealistyc to say that money does not give happiness, because, I also know what it is to lack of it, although, there are other things in life you should take time to enjoy. I know that I am not in the possition to give you, or anyone any advise, but, in my own experience, dreams are achieved more easily when chased one by one, taking time to enjoy the chasing of it, because, once you reach one goal, sometimes, it is not fulfilling as you thought it would be. Take some time to order your priorities, I wish you good luck.

I don't think that having a lot of money makes me happy. I think to be happy I need good luck, lovely things happening and good health. I know that with very little money I am miserable because trying to pay a bill can be a nightmare. Recently I have had a water bill which I paid and then this weekend the postman brought round the electricity and gas bills. I will be paying those tomorrow. My hobbies are traveling to other countries, having days out, caring for my two dogs, photography, walking along the coast line, walking in the countryside and going swimming. I value time spent with my family and my friends.

Money is an important thing, and, it has an important role in many areas of our lifes, and, it is not easy sometimes to understand that this is not the most important area of one´s life. I don´t think either that a lot of money will make me happy, but, specially in this society, it is a need to have it, but, now I am more wise,(I think) about how I spend it. I think that to be happy, you have to get all things in perspective, and assign to each one its proper place, not overestimating any. Thanks for your answer.

I do agree that money is important; but it isn't the most important thing. Family, friends, and health are also important. Money is useful to obtain things we may want; but without health and strength we would not be able to obtain it.

I understand what you say, and I agree with you, yet, sometimes, one needs something that shake our world to put all pieces together, and see the whole picture.

Hi albto, Well i would put money as one of the most important aspect in life and plays a very big part in people recognising you and respecting you. Other things being your health. I have seem to realise that if you have money , you have more friends ( though not real but then being poor dont get you real friends too) and yes your status in family goes up.. so you see how rich realtives are treated differently than poor ones in a marriage or other family functions. But once you have enough money to fulfil your needs ( not greed) then you should enjoy things around you like you said.

Money is, indeed a great need, specially in our society, yet, I do not see it as the most important thing. It gives you status, and surrounds you with lots of toadies, but, happiness and respect does not come from things outside. I think that the point is not going to any extreme, far from the unrealistyc view, that tells that money is not important, because it is, you are right in this point, but, don´t giving it so importance, that makes you lose the point of living and all it´s pleasures.

To me, money is what it is. We need it to live and without it, we would be out on the streets. Sadly, that is just the nature of the game and the nature of the beast. There are a lot of times where we are going to really stress out about money but it is not stressing out about money that we do not need, but rather having enough money to live. Therefore, we just need money to live. And maybe a little extra to be put back for the case of emergency. However beyond it being a tool to live, it really should not be that much more important. When we get too greedy, we lose sight of many things that happen in life. That has been the downfall with many thing and their greed for money. So its necessary to live but there is too much of a good thing.

Money, is a necessity for life indeed, as long as it keeps its own place, and does not hides other things in life, is a good thing too. Sometimes, is not easy to understand all this things, specially, when you need some extra bucks. Thanks for your comment.

Money is as important to some as life is. I fortunately realize that money is to be worked for and not to live for.

Money is very important but it's not everything. scriptures say "man does not live by bread alone..." but it never mentioned that life would be easy without bread. I think what is more important than money itself is the way to make it, without sacrificing other things that make us happy as well , like friends and family, hobbies, not stepping on other peoples toes to make it etc... that for me is more fulfilling and makes money more enjoyable. One thing I had observed with money is that the more we get desperate and chase after it, it becomes more elusisive, leave it alone and concentrate on the fun ways to make it then it comes (just my personal experience), good luck, wish you the best and hope you get over what it is that's bothering you

Thank you louievill, for your comments, I fully agree with you, and that thing that bothered me, well, is not gonne at all yet, but, it does not disturb me anymore, as it did. One good thing about being in a hard situation, id you don´t let it crush you, is that help you to put all things in perspective, and make all pieces fit together. I guess that I reached the same conclusions as you, and now, I thank God for all this situation, the same made me protest so many times, before. Thanks again for your comments.

There's certainly more to life that money and it's true that you often don't realise this until you have no money! It's a shame that money is one of life's essentials. My best advice for earning the money needed to live is to do something you enjoy doing as a job. I left a 13 year career in IT to go and run a bar, something I love. Sadly my contract ended and I'm now looking for a new bar to run.

Hi dear TooMuch! I fully agree with your views, but then unfortunately in our materialistic society it is the money which makes the mare to run! It is having importance of its own and one can realise the importance of the same when he/she faces the crisis! Thanks !
