Bridge of Difference Once I was not Now I am A bridge of cultures Making its way to represent Both worlds I have lived in The one I loved or the one I regretted being in Here all I hear were stereotypes and racial slurs People making fun of other people Privacy is a very big deal here I don’t even know who my neighbor was In my hometown people are cool There were no cops watching your every step There were no speeding tickets There were fewer car accidents No serial killers And there was no such thing as depression But here they have every illness of the world They have more than they can have but they still want more Things were simpler back there When I was no different

Brilliant! I assume the land you write of is the Good Old U.S.A. I'm so sorry you are so homesick.I hope you get to go home for a visit.

Yes Sarah that is right. I am referring to the imperialist nation of the United States of America. Yep. I guess this is what it feels to be homesick when I can't see good things from where I am at.

I thought so. America Can be a lonely place. We Yanks are not as welcoming as we Should be! All I hope is that you are More comfortable now and that you have gone home for a visit. Hang in there.
