Your Goal in Life?

Perhaps you have heard this question lots of times before. It would probably bring you back to your high school/elementary days. Then again, you answered the question when you were young, how would you then answer the question now that you have come to age. Goal setting is one of the most important keys in life. Having no plan at all is like creating a building with no floor plans at all or bungee jumping in a cliff without studying the location or even knowing if you are healthy and capable of doing it. A better example would be walking without no direction. I'd like to here to as many inputs as possible. Please speak from the heart. Thanks in advance for the replies! :)

My goal in life is and always has been to help others in whstever way I can, big or small. It makes me feel good when I know I've made a difference is someone's life.

Bungee jumping off a cliff sounds like something I would do and I often walk with no direction as it brings me places that I would otherwise not know. It is fine to set goals for ones self but I have seen many obsess over goals (even unreachable ones) and they seem to forget about everything else, sometimes the simple things in life are much more rewarding.

Yes! I agree with you thezone. Good insight. The key again is balance. We set our goals and do our best to achieve it but we do should not lose the value of appreciation and gratitude over the things that we have in life.

My ultimate goal in life would be to live life to the fullest with God. There will always be ups and downs for me but knowing that God will be with me all the time then why not just live life like there is no tomorrow. So that in the end you would not feel bad for not doing anything during your younger years. I have learnt a lesson with not doing what I wanted back then and so nowadays I have this list of goals that I want to achieve but it is a bit harder now that I have a family of my own. But definitely my ultimate goal is just have God in everything I do by enjoying what life has to offer.

As long as the desire is coming from your good heart, that will definetely be given to you. I would suggest though that we still don't forget to share the love and what we have to others who are in need. Peace out! :)

My biggest goal in life is to find a career that I can do from anywhere. I want to be able to travel the world and still be able to have a career. I am not sure which direction I am going, but I am defiantly open to finding it.

Well, I don't know if you would like this idea but I can suggest to you that you can actually go full-time online and earn money from anywhere. I don't know if it can be called a career but as for me, that is where I am heading. :)

The only goal I'm after now is finding a stable job that will be a stepping stone for my own business. I'm an unemployed single-parent and right now my parents wouldn't allow me to work since there's nobody available to take care of my son. My only wish is that they'll finally give me permission to apply this year. Last time we had a talk, they're only planning to let me go when my son is already attending school. Bummer...

I would love to do something I love with my life. I am always fantasizing about being in a band, the lead singer/songwriter. The only thing I have done about it is take voice lessons a few years ago and I'm thinking about starting those up again. I do write songs all the time. There's so much crappy music out these days I want to be known as one of the greats of today.

Goal in Life? Hmmm... when I was in High school I always asked myself that. I was really fixed that I would be a civil engineer when I grow up just like my dad. But as I grew up I became a nurse just like my mom. I didn't have any regrets of what profession I am in now. So, maybe this time I can say that my goal in life is to have a family on my own and become successful of my given career and either architecture or hospital management ^_^

With the help of God i gone through school, college (I am in the last year). Hopefully God will listen my prayer and give me the chance to become a Gendarme. I have been dreaming on this profession since i was a child. I always like to see myself helping the humanity from burglars, terrorists or other menaces. Seeing myself on the day when I wear my uniform and make my oath to Serve and Protect my country, I will know that God is with me to do good things in the future.
