Do you drink water as soon as getting up?

I don't like drinking tea,so i always drink boiled water before or after meals,especially when i get up in the morning,the first important thing that i have to do is to drink a mug of warm boiled water(not pure water or tap water),and then do other things.it's said drinking enough water can help our body work well,but i don't know the details. Now share your drinking habit.

How can you not like tea!?!? lol drinking water is definitely healthy. I`ve read countless articles stating that drinking a glass of water(whether boiled or not) in the morning will get your mental and physical processes started for the day, and it`s a first step towards your daily water requirement. So, I`m all for it!

Oh, i do that too just recently. As soon as i wake up i would turn on the electric airpot then i go back to the bedroom to pray. Once i am done praying, i would go out of the room to prepare the breakfast. But before anything else, i would drink a 2 cupfuls of hot water with some cold water, hot enough for me to take. That way, i could feel the hotness of the water as it go inside my body and it's a very nice feeling. It helps me in easing out the elimination of my body wastes.

Good for you oldsix. But that's my daily routine, praying and preparing breakfast, not necessarily cooking , coz' if i do that , i will be late for work. Good that you have a thermos to keep hot water and always ready. In my case we would still have to turn on the electric airpot and wait for 5 minutes before we could have hot water at home. We seldom use hot water though, usually only during breakfast.

'As soon as getting up' I go to the powder room and then I have a drink of water or juice. Yes, it is really very important for us to drink atleast a gallon of water a day. Few do this. If you think about it alot of our body make up is water and if we don't keep that level up we get dehydrated and that is not fun!

I absolutely do this. I learned, sometime ago, that if you drink 16oz of cold water first thing in the morning it will speed up your metabolism. So, I think water first thing in the morning and I add one cayenne capsule to give my system an extra boost.

I like drinking coffee more than water, it gets me up and going. Although sometimes I search for juice most especially when I was out all night drinking. It just dehydrates me after.

I drink water before I eat anything too. It's been a habit of mine and some people say it is good for our health so I continue this habit. I don't really like warm or cold water though, just normal purified drinking water.

I have no idea.. The only thing I have read is that drinking water, or maybe any other liquid too can make a person full easily so he or she will not eat more food- and yes, it helps to keep the body fit.

Although I have heard that it is a good habit to drink water in the early morning after you wake up. It is good for your digestion. However, I don't have this habit. Usually I will drink milk, coffee, honey water and so on. I love China

I don't usually drink water when I wake up. Lately, I've been drinking a lot of milk when I wake up. I don't actually drink a lot of water, which I know I should drink more of. I do try at times, but I have been unsuccessful so far.

Hiya OSIX, Not too often depends what sort of mood I am in when I get up usually. I do however try not to make the Tea very strong either and sometimes I will halve the cup of tea and drink it with better water later on in the Day. This is what I usually do in the Summer and the very hot Days as I find the Water at least has a bit of taste to it. I often do the same with Mint Tea as well or Fruit Tea and it stops me adding Sugar to it. Find I don´t like Sugar in very cool Tea I just prefer it like that. Our Tea here is not very strong anyway so it´s not really an issue for me to drink at least one nice Cup in the Morning and one at Night just sometimes.

Yes i do drink water as soon as getting up. After fresh up i do drink water everyday as i feel so thirsty after brush my teeth. And i also don't like tea or any coffee moreover i do believe we all should drink water after getting up which is very good for health. As for metabolism in our body water must need.And it also help us to purify our blood. Have a good time!

ohhhhhhh friend to drink water in the morning after wake up is good but boiled water is it good I dont tell me because my husband always drink water in the morning but not boiled they drink cold water. More water is good for body but not this is my habit I drink less water.

Of course I drink cool or warm water that has been heated to boil,I don't dare to drink water that hasn't been heated to boil for age,the water isn't haelthy enough.Have fun!

Oops, I wish I did. People say it's good to drink water as soon as getting up, that means before brushing your teeth. It helps with your bowel movement. I usually take hot tea with my breakfast. It keeps me going for the day.

me too, when i get up, the first thing i do is to drink a cup of warm water, it's very good for your health. because after a whole night's metabolism, your body is lack of water, so a cup of warm water can help your body to discharge the waste.

I don't usually drink water upon waking but it is a good habit to get into. I do not like hot or warm water. Tastes funny to me for some reason. I have to drink cold or cool water or I can't drink water at all. Flavored water is the best.

I actually do since I gotta take meds at the same time on the regular basis plus it's great drinking water in the morning, real cold one for me, so you can really quench your thirst.

Yes, after i wake up, before i proceed to take a bath or brush my teeth, i will be sure to drink a cup of water. It can either be room temperature or hot water, depending on the weather. It's a good habit because it helps to cleanse our system, as well as hydrate our throat. I've been doing that for years, and i don't see any cons to it.

No I don't. I eat first then I drink some hot chocolate. Then afterwards, I drink some water. I often drink a lot of water after my meals. I just don't feel like having water in the morning. I want something warm for my stomach in the morning.
