Oh Dear, More Machinery On The Blink!

Poor Mum, I do sympathise with her at the moment.
"Nothing goes right in this house!" she told me on the telephone yesterday. Oh, dear.
On Friday afternoon, despite having a hard day at work she chose to get the Power Washer out of the shed "in order to wash the greenhouse!"
She proceeded to take loads of "stuff" out of her greenhouse in order to do the task in hand. Took her ages by all accounts.
She also managed to persuade Dad to set the Power Washer up. He didn't really want to do it but Mum gave him a big hug afterwards, as it was a "finicky" job putting it all together.
Then the time finally came to switch it on.
Apparently, it spluttered into action for about 5 seconds then DIED.
Those bloody pesky Goblins are at it again..or is it Mum affecting the electrics (which wouldn't be the first time), either way, Mum's fed up.
"I was really looking forward to cleaning the greenhouse. That Power Washer is German-made. Why is it broken, I've only had it a couple of years."
Well, friends, what can I say to that? She told me I'd ordered it for her on the internet about 3 years ago. From which site, I have no idea but I know it would be a site I know and trust.
Oh, well, perhaps Dad can get the thing working. I do hope so as it's not nice wasting money on something that packs up when you least expect it. Also, Mum's shed is better than mine i.e. newer and doesn't let water in, so we can't use that as an excuse.

Your Mum is really unaccustomed to staying idle .She originally intended to clean the greenhouse thoroughly ,finally there was something wrong with power washer,so much for that idea.It seems that German-Made couldn't make you rest assured .Fortunately you were able to take that out on Goblin.

Hahaha! You're right my friend, Mum isn't accustomed to not doing anything. I reckon she's probably hyperactive. My Dad is entirely the opposite. He only springs into action when it's necessary or if Mum nags him enough lol.

Maybe Dad didn't set it up right?

Hahahaha! I daren't mention that to them but you never know with those two. After all, they couldn't get the Sky+ digibox and telly going a few months back because the digibox wasn't turned on!
