Internet has become an earning gateway of many people around the globe. From students to part-timers even others who made it their primary income source.
But unfortunately, there are still many who are hesitant to try internet to find jobs worldwide. Job maybe easy to find but are we really sure that these are LEGIT or just SCAM... Its not that hard to find legit jobs in the internet, you just have to think wisely. BEWARE OF GET RICH QUICK SCHEMES who will wants to blind you by their easy to earn money schemes but in the end asking you to pay for registration fees. Most probably, they are just SCAMS.

There are people that make money online. I am not saying that you are going to be the nexy Donald Trump but you can make some money online.
If you are going to do it you have to treat it like a regular job and make a schedule that works best for you there are people that do it my the amount that they want to make in a day and there are others that do it by how much time that want to put into it.
For me if I am able to pay my electric bill and my cable/internet then it is a bonus for me because they are 2 less bills that I have to pay that month.
Recently I am finding other things that I can do and seeing how all of that pans out
Bottom line is that you will be able to make it if you stick it out and not think about it as a easy way out.

In my opinion the internet can be used s you said by people wishing to make some additional extra income. But it is not for a main source of income. Furthermroe it is important that prior to starting any online work, one makes sure that he makes a thorough search as to whether the site or company is legit. Usually past users will have made comments or reviews so as to open other people's eyes.
