What are some of the coolest places you've been for a vacation or weekend trip?

This doesn't have to be anything like Paris. Have you been to any really cool camping spots, stayed in an awesome cabin, cottage, or hotel tell me about and if you remember where it's located? There are so many cool places that people have been and neat places to stay even in the United States that I like to hear about them so that I have many different ideas and places that I can go. There are of course awesome vacations outside of the US that would be neat. If you've taken a cruise or vacationed outside the US and got great deals tell me about it and the great deals you got as well. Camping is something that me and my family want to try and do more often and it's a cheaper way to vacation. We've been to Hocking Hills Ohio and stayed in a small cottage there. The cottage we stayed in was nice but there are so many other ones that look great as well that if a family is interested there are a lot different cabins as well as camp grounds.

One of the most unique places we have been to is Boulder Field, in Hickory Run State Park in the Poconos, Pennsylvania. It is a huge field, more than 11 acres, covered entirely by boulders, with no vegetation in between the rocks. And yet, it is completely surrounded by the forest on all sides. A very neat place to visit.

We have just came back from a short break and i will say that it is a great all in holiday.The sun was even out, we stayed in a caravan and there were always things that the children could do while we were away.I think that ther e are some really good sites that you can go no matter what time of year it is that will have things of interest for all the family todo.

It might be a regular day to day place for many people but not for us, we went to Vegas one long weekend and loved it, althoug we might have needed a few more days to enjoy a little more, but our stay was great.
It was a plus that we drove there, nice ride, having the opportunity to check out the view on our own pace and stop anytime if we wanted to, you know, different than riding a bus or a plane (plane will be used next time, so we can be there faster and have more time to have fun)

the best vacation was for 7 days in Apuseni Mountains in Romania. studying in Romania at Environmental Geography we are bound to do practices, trips in the country. this trip was for 7 days in Apuseni. We have seen a lot of caves, this region is well know in Europe for its massive chains of cave.
