Last year I had though about this since I grow organic but I was only able to make a little off of it. This was mainly do to the fact that I wasn't producing enough to give to the people I wanted to and sale what I needed. I have been growing Squash , tomatoes, cucumbers, eggplants, birds eye chill peppers, along with other various types colored bell, green bell, etc This year I have a little better plan, I am going to try and produce some produce with a aquaponic system and have a soil garden, a little bigger than last year, as the source for my veggies. I have already set up a 75 gallon tank with gold fish in it, just waiting to set all the fittings in place and get the water running. If I can get a good system going I ought to be able to save more and make more. Does any one have any suggestions that have worked for them with selling produce. any specific variates that sell better than others. ( I have been using my own breed) Also does any one else sell produce or have a aquaponic garden? I attached a picture of my green house, this was days after it was finished.

In response to the comment above mine, I don't see any sort of violation in regards to this topic and I've seen a lot in my 5 years here. Now on to the topic at hand. I've never heard of aquaponic gardening before, and I would definitely like to know more about it. in 4 years of landscaping, this has never come up during work. You can still do well with soil gardening, I'm looking forward to getting my garden growing, I may contemplate getting a table at a flea market in the summer, or possibly sell at a fall garage sale if there's enough interest. Find veggies in stores that cost a lot, and figure out how much you could save people by selling to them directly. You have to remember the costs involved in shipping fresh produce to stores, and with costs rising this year, growing your own, to eat yourself or sell will really help save everyone money. Not to mention that it's healthier in the long run.

Thanks for the reaffirming that I was correct in this discussion, I kept going over the guidelines but could not find one that related to this particular type of discussions infringement. Now that is a thought I work in a produce department, if I could talk to the boss man and see if he like my produce I might could get the to buy it. No shipping only thing is I would have to sell it for bulk prices, but that would be worth it If I could produce enough. I need to look up my state laws and see If I could sell it at like a yard sale??hmm

I asked to day and they said the'll take a look when I start producing. Thanks for the encouragement. Now I have done a little more reading and bulk produce sells a bit cheaper , unless it organic! Remember that, also produce it a fickle thing to work in/with!

I suggest you go downtown and find local restaurants that offer food that are organically produced, then have a deal with them you will supply them the goods that they need.
