i kept track of mariah carey's career since she started her first album. She's really a phenomenal diva with an overwhelming pitch and vocal gymnastics. She's so good that many aspiring singers imitated her style. Even if she's not on the peak of her career now, I know she's feeling great because she has a newfound ... more exciting career... MOTHERHOOD .. best of luck!

I agree, during her time, Mariah is untouchable. NO one can get close to her status. Singers of today can only dream of a career as successful as Mariah's. I wish we could turn back time and make Mariah young and on the move again.

Yes, indeed, Mariah Carey is a very gifted singer, the way she sings, the way her voice enchants. I have got a CD of her songs and listen to them often.

I wouldn't call myself a fan, however I do like a couple of her songs. She does have a very impressive range. Sometimes I wonder how R&B/pop artists like her would sound if they tried other styles, like maybe symphonic metal or something more "folky"... just something out of the ordinary for them. It probably wouldn't go over well with most die-hard fans; it's just a personal curiosity of mine.
I hope Mariah continues to have a very fulfilling career and enjoys her journey through motherhood.

I like Mariah Carey also. Even though i didnt follow her completely all of the music I did listen too has made me a fan alone. Even though she has grown older and her lifestyle has changed I still think she is wonderful and will prosper in her new life like she did in her career
