Savor it while it lasts

Our parish priest once shared in his homily about something that he read from Bo Sanchez' writings. According to him, bo shared that no matter what he is doing, if his child called for him or seeks his attention, he will leave what it is that he is doing to attend to his child. He said that we parents should enjoy their dependency on us while they are still young 'coz soon there will come a time that they will no longer seek for our attention. that no matter how much time we have for them, they will have little time for us already because they have grown and has already a life of our own. So let us enjoy every moment, savor every kiss and hug 'coz soon there might be scarcity of them. I guess this is something that each parent should remember 'coz there's a truth in this. What are your thoughts on this my fellow mylotters?? I guess most of us has a lot to share, after all most parents here were all children once. :)
