what you said is truly appreciable brother. But where is the time for squeezing a lemon and adding sugar to it. Either ways, the retail ones are damn costly, i would seriously want to give your idea a try, make a lemonade or something and keep it for a day, don't you think that will work.

That will also work. No doubt. some people have always time problems. and for school going children ready made juice is always practical. But whenever people are at home and have enough time self made juice is excellent. and by the way i am not a brother, but sister

this gives energy is perfectly correct. Your words comes from your own experience. I think the sugar in it gives us the needed energy. But some time I feel guilty that I add much sugar in it.

Oops that's really bad. Too much sugar could lead to diabetes... As for me, I don't put sugar, even in calamansi juice. Only in some time I put Honey to lessen the sour taste.

I like making fruit juice by myself, too. First of all, I like eating fruit. Most of them are so juicy and delicious, so I nearly eat them everyday. And then juice is easier to drink, no need to worry that you have to carry them when doing something else. Besides, we can just mix different fruits together. Bob's your uncle.

Making your own fruit juices is healthy than buying those tetra packs or ready to drink fruit mix. We are not sure about the ingredients, for all we know, those are only artificial flavors which are not really healthy. At least when we make our own fruit juice, we are sure that it contains the real ingredients, we get to drink fresh fruits that are loaded with real vitamins and minerals.

Yes you are correct. actually when we make anything on our we know what is in it. and we can make for our own taste also. some add water and some don't add water. I make the basic and the children change them a bit as they like.

In spirituality it seems raw things we consume can give pure energy from Earth it self, I think the benefits are physical, spiritual and with so many vitamins, we should drink it daily. After becoming vegan I'm more into vegetables and fruits, I really hated fruits before, my taste changed like in one month. I also eat meat it's called textured soy and it tastes and it feels like chewing meat. Now fruits are becoming more delicious to me, it's the best thing to we to drink after water.

this is what i'm drinking now. i cut up one piece of medium sized lemon, one piece medium sized pear, and one piece medium sized and put all the fruits in a blender and mix it up. i put a glass of water or a couple cubes of ice until i get the consistency i like. i then add three tablespoons of olive oil and either a tablespoon of honey or 2 sachets of low-calorie sweetener. the lemon and oil combine to detoxify the body and the fiber from the pear and apple soaks it up in the intestinal tract and so you can rid of it naturally. i take this 'juice' once a day either as my lunch or dinner.

I also enjoy drinking fruit juices. I love to drink them pure and concentrated. No water or sugar added. We just slice the fruits, and them put them in the electric juicer, with all the pulp and the rind included. Very nutritious!

Hi John, I am not really a fan of fruit juices. I like eating the whole fruit better. I think this is better for people who are watching their weight. You can get the same satisfaction at lesser calories. Besides, some of the needed nutrients and vitamins can be washed off with too much manipulation. Vitamin C's potency for example lessen with exposure to light.

Hi there, I make lots of fruit juices at home. I rarely buy one from the supermarket. I love carrot, celery and pineapple juice. I think the juices found in the market have concentrates and artificial flavouring in them which is not good fro health. If one is very concerned about one's health, it is better to make juice at home rather than getting juices from the market.

yummy! Self made will be more fresh and healthy but expensive as compare with the ready made juice. If affordable then prefer self-made.

I also make my own fruit juice. Since I am diabetic I cannot drink the commercial stuff because it contains so much sugar. I am an urban forager. I am so lucky I live in a big city and yet close to vast areas of green space. My friend and I harvest wild grapes, elderberries, saskatoon berries and black rasberries on our walks. I freeze them in the summer in containers. My cousin also has red current bushes in her garden. Her family does not like those. I usually pick a basket of those as well. In the winter I unfreeze some of those berries and mix them, boil them up with some water and squeeze out the juice. Sometimes I sweeten them with Stevia which is a natural sweetener from a plant and use the juice when I am thirsty. These fruits have lots of antioxidants and really make me feel good.

I love to drink freshly squeezed fruit juice and it tastes even better than pure fruit juice from a carton. When I go to Glastonbury I go to a place where I can drink a glass of freshly squeezed orange juice and it is delicious. I don't like the taste of concentrated orange juice by comparison. I like to drink pink grapefruit juice but I find it hard to find the time to self make this by squeezing many grapefruits. I believe that lime adds a refreshing flavor to drinks. Lemon is very tasty in a drink especially when it is mixed with lime. I have had a go at making vegan fruit smoothies. I like strawberries, raspberries and cranberries mixed together. Banana makes the drink very creamy.

I believe the self made juice is more healthy compare to the ready made. However depending on the recipe of a self made fruit juices sometimes it will consume time to prepare.

id rather choose self made fruit juice, no artificial flavorings, no preservatives. and i am more sure that the juice my kids will drink is really healthy than the ready made one. im not against the ready made juices, i also use it specially when i have a visitors came without notice, easy to prepare. but my preference, if youd ask me, is the self made one.
