The gloom of death hangs in the air in my town....

Today has been a really bad day for all in the town in which I live. For some reason without fail people die in threes. When one person dies, it is a guaranteed fact tht two more will die before the week is out. A few days ago a little boy,6, accidentally shot himself with a nail gun in the heart. He made it to the hospital but later died. His funeral was today. My husbands best friends, dad passed away today of a heart attack/stroke that he had while driving. He crashed into a local bank, but the cause of the crash was the heart attack/stroke they are unsure of which he had. The family had just had a bad fire at their garage last week, and were just recovering from it. Also today a friend of mines wife died. She had a long struggle with alzheimers and was in a home. She passed away from natural causes. So as I sit here typing I count the blessings that my family is safe and my heart aches for all those who have lost their loved ones. I know that no one knows these people in my little town, but I ask that everyone says a prayer for all the people who have lost their loved ones. Is your town, a town of gloom such as mine? How do you console those who have lost loved ones?

Gosh that is incredibly sad. So weird to see your discussion this evening though because I was just thinking something similar about my hometown!! Ours doesn't necessarily happen in 3s but it seems that a lot of younger people are dying of heart attacks on a regular basis. It's so bizarre and scary. My heart goes out to all of these families that has lost someone. Such a tough thing to go through.
