Random white hair??

South Korea

Couple months ago I was treating my skin when I noticed this long white hair on my forehead. I was really shocked because it was not only long but completely white . I was so confused that without thinking I just pulled it out. I later went and told my friend and then she told me she had the same kind of long white hair but in one of her eyelid . She showed it to me and it really was white and long and was amongst her eyelashes but she didn't wanna pull it off. Anyway does anyone have this kind of strange random white hair?? And what are those actually?? I've heard some people say those hair bring good lucks but I don't know how much of it is true. Please educate me And is it safe to pull them off??

Hi thatgirl! I have two random white hairs one on my right upper arm and the other on my left lower leg. Those are the dominant ones because I usually have sometimes on my chin. I think it's always pulled off so sometimes it's gone. Sometimes, the other two are also pulled off ( maybe accidentally) but grows back again. I don't know whether it's a good luck or what.

Yah, they're really surprising.. Even though mine has been pulled off many times, it still grows back to its same length before.. kinda weird for me too.

I don't know what they are too and it's really surprising coz they outstand. I pulled mine out but it hasn't grown back. But my friend refuses to pull her off, but I think that kinda painful coz it's in her eyelid.

I have random white hair as well, I have white hair long time ago when I was a teenager, my sister got this as well, I think we are inherited from our parents becaue they both have lots of white hair. I pull them off when I see any, I know I won't be able to pick them all out but I pull the obvious ones out. I used to dye my hair to hide the white hair but I think it is just a big damage to my hair and waste of money, my white hair will grow back anyway so I just pull the ones that is on top and the underneath is fine.

Hey thanks for the share. I don't have white hairs on my head but just that one in between my eyebrows. It was quite surprising and quite an odd place for a hair to grow.

I know this guy who when he and I were in 8th grade of grammar school had a full head of gray hair. Being so young none of us could understand it but then we learned that it is hereditary sometimes and or part of genetics. I do know someone who has like a circle patch ever since she has had a full head of her brunette hair. She and others tell me it is a birth mark and suppose to be good luck. Not sure if that is true just what I have been told but when I remember her life she really did not appear to be too lucky. I remember reading online that sometimes gray hair at a young age is also part of hair deficiency and being that you only found one I don't think you should worry too much. I remember as a kid seeing one or two and I use to pull it and most of the people in my culture use to say do pull them because when you yank one two come later. Not sure how truth there is too that because I don't remember getting more as a child. Does your friend dye her hair and or eyebrows? Reason for asking is that it is common that if some of the dye reaches anywhere near the eye area it can make the eyelid hairs lighter. This I remember being told by my hair dresser. If not does she wear mascara because I was also told too much of mascara will gray the eyelashes with time, depending on the brand.

Yes well she does use mascara and dyes her hair too. But the surprising thing is that only one of her eyelash is white and the length is white long compared to the other lashes. I have heard the thing about pulling out one then two appears too. But I think that's not true at all coz I did pull the long white hair from between my eyebrows but it didn't grow back.

Yes I've heard that too. They say if you pull one out, you'll get two more but I think it's not true. Coz I pulled this white hair of mine, which was in between my forehead, but it never came back.

Well, I do have many random white hair. I pulled many of that before and it began to multiply. Then I just ignored it till now, it began to diminished a little. When you had a white hair, others will tell you the you are old one... a grand one..

I have white eyelashes, I also used to have white whiskers growing out of a spot on my chin but I had them permanently removed - they used to be dark before they went mostly white. I now have one growing out of the underside of my chin - that one was over an inch long the first time I discovered it. I blame it on age, tho the whiskers in my chin I've had since I was in my 20's. I haven't noticed any white eyebrow hairs yet, but my hair is mostly white and I have these random white eyelashes. My mom's body hair went white as she aged, and I've noticed my leg hair is mostly whitish, tho the hair on my arms is still the color it always was - blondish/flesh colored. I expect my hair will all be white sooner rather than later, since I'm already closer to 60 than 50 and have had white hairs since I was 13.

Hey thanks for the response. It's strange that some hairs tend to appear on the strangest place. Mine was almost between my eyebrows and only one long white hair. My friend has black eye lashes, that is the only one which is white and is quite longer than other eyelashes.

I have not had any grey hair on my head only until a few years ago. Since I was like 22 yrs old I have white hairs that grow in with my dark eye brows hair. I always puck them out when I puck my eye brows! I hate having white and dark eyebrows! I see nothing wrong with plucking out a grey hair or two! It is no big deal!

This is normal, my friend. Some people have white hair and they can pull them off. However, if there are too much white hair, you should get advices from your doctor.

Actually the strange part is that the white hair was almost in between my eyebrows That is why I was surprised. But I don't have any white hair on my head.

For me that's how I started going grey. It starts with one random hair and then gradually it turns into two then three and so on. I would not worry about it. Everyone starts getting grey hair at different times in their life. It's normal.

No actually mine was a random hair almost in between my eyebrows. Quite strange place for a white hair to appear in. And the thing is it was quite long :/

My dad started growing white hair when he was a teenager, so I started to grow white hair when I was a teenager due to genetics. There really isn't anything bad about it, white hair is just sometimes a side effect of stress or age. It's a natural thing.

Hey thanks for the response. The thing with my white hair was that it was in a strange place, not in my head but almost between my eyebrows. It was surprising.
