So I'm still young and have never been on a fast but am going on one on Tuesday for people without an education because of war or money. The school is built they just need enough money to get in. So I'm glad I'm doing this for them but just a tiny bit nervous about the hunger. Yes I'll be fine but was just wondering, have you ever been on a 24 hour fast or longer and why??

Hope your fast earns enough money for the cause. As for fasting myself, I try fasting every day. Unfortunately, it never works out for me. I end up eating more then if I had just prepared a meal and then went on about my business. I then get frustrated with the constant eating. No will power when it comes to not eating. I just don't know how people do it. Best Wishes!!

I'm just doing it for the people without an education. I have willpower because it's a good cause and every bit counts. Since I already collected the money and I wouldn't back out anyway. I'm actually sort of looking forward to it. I know it's a little strange but I've never actually been really hungry and now I get the chance to know what it really feels like.

Not eating anything for 24 hours, is not considered as a fasting. In fact it is nothing but starving!! I have never starved that way knowingly or unknowingly. But I have been on a fasting few years back. Just tried. It was part of some ritual for which I had fasted. Fasting occasionally will add to our health, while doing it very often will spoil the same! Have a great day!!

So what do you consider fasting?? I consider fasting as what you call starving.
