Here’s my list, and maybe a part of these are due to personal experiences and those that I have seen from colleagues. 1. Not happy with the work, and you feel you are dragging yourself to get up and go to your work. 2. You lost direction, the employee got lost in the middle of the management plan, and we are left not knowing what’s left, or what’s in for us in the organization 3. Very personal reason for me – I feel that my boss does not recognize my efforts, and always makes me feel “little” and incompetent at times even if the boss gave me a lot of projects to work on. 4. Boss does not seem to fit his/her position and that she/he survived the position because of the people he is ordering around! Hehe 5. No growth of career, no further learnings, and very limited options. 6. They are going to study further.. masteral degree (of course this is secondary to the first 5 problems. Hahaha) What’s your opinion on why people leave their jobs and find new ones?

1) Find a better job more suited in their field. (Might have taken the one they are at because of desperation)... aka laid off or unemployed. 2) Not enough income to make ends meet, so they go find a higher paying job. 3) Cannot get along with their other co-workers and seem to have no self respect and feeling like this even from their boss as well. 4) Due to the gas prices found something closer to their home. 5) Needing a break from the type of job they are doing.

I did not mingle around with a lot of working people nor my colleagues. I think they changed their jobs due to money problems. They got a higher salary and I never heard of them telling me they have any social problems.

at least one reason would be about money. an employee may have found a greener pasture. or maybe s/he has come to realize that the current job no longer would be able to pay bills, i.e. higher costs but no pay raise.
