Hot, humid air and very windy, recipe for tornado?

Right now, it's about 70F or 21C and it's humid. But it's also pretty windy out there. I opened the windows and the house is warming up now, which is really nice. But I wonder if this is a recipe for a tornado, of which there was a warning last night for. Last summer there were warnings, and I watched the clouds rotating, but nothing ever came of it. But there's always the concern that this will happen after the outbreak of tornadoes here 2 years ago. There were 18 confirmed touchdowns in one day, and we don't even live in the typical tornado alley. We do have one of our own, but not like the US. If one hit, we'd only be safe in the basement as our bathroom has a window, as do all of the rooms on the main floor.
